Look It Is Not a Christmas Card

I have seen so many cards made with this paper and stamp set, and I just had to try one of my own. I also have never made a criss cross card so I thought I would try my hand at that. All in all I think things turned out pretty darn good!!!!!!!
I did make this card with some one in mind, don't do that very often. my FIL has been having some health problems and My DH had to make a spur of the moment trip back home to see him we could have ether drove with the kids and wanted to kill our selves by the time we got there or Just have Marty fly home (DH) thank good we found a great deal on a no notice plane ticket. the only down side to that is his dad has only met one of our children, so I hope when we have more time we can make it there for a visit!!!!
And the good news of all of this is his dad is doing much better and is home now
I made this card to let him and his wife know that I am thinking about them and sorry that I could not make the trip with Marty! this car is fitting they are both horse people they have several of there own horses and they buy and sell at action many times a year!!!!!
about the card!
I got the idea for the cute little scrolls from the twisted chick herself (thank you)
the paper is outlaw really rust and close to cocoa and confetti cream.
I got the ribbon at Walmart and the sweet little rhinestone's at a scrapbook store where my mom lives. All of the images are stamped in close to cocoa craft ink and clear embossed along with the green DP I distressed the edges and the sponged all the side!!!! TFL
please tell me what you think!!!!

Set #3 Christmas Cards

I was asked by my sister to do something simple and I just don't think that I am any good at simple!!! So I just kept the focal point small and played with the background till I was happy!
the colors used are pomegranate and basic gray ant the textured WW. to make the background I first stamped it in basic gray then silver then white and in the middle of the bigger white snow flakes I added some Stickels Soooooooo much easier than glitter! ( what a mess that stuff is)
I colored the Mary and Bright snowman and tree with my Lonely SU markers and again added Stickles for shine!!!!
Thanks for looking and I am looking for a good sketch for set #4 please help me out!!!

get ready to be booed

well I thought that I would try my hand at masking, not as bad as I thought it would be! The two cards you see here did take all day but I had so much fun making them and I already know what I am going to do with them. I think that I will use these to BOO the neighbors and if you don't know what this is you are missing out it is great HALLOWEEN fun!!!! first you start by going to this web site and pick your BOO all this is, is a color and instruction sheet. Sound like fun just wait, then you fix up a goody bag or basket and then you leave it on two of your neighborhood door steps after dark. they then put the BOO sheet up in there door so the don't get BOOED again and carry on the chain by BOOING two neighbors and so on and so on !!!! the kids love it!!!!
thanks for looking and have fun BOOING!!!!!!!!
