Usually when I get in a slump I do something else for awhile. So, if I haven't been making cards, I do that. If I haven't been scrapbooking,I do that. Or maybe a special project. If it is really bad, I go to the kitchen instead. To get started again, I don't try to make something good, just anything will do to get me moving again. Congrats on all the hits, great blog!

When I hit a slump I go blog hopping for something to inspire me. I can spend hours doing that. Hee hee. Yours is one I love to come to. Sometimes just taking a break for a few days helps too. Thanks for the opportunity and congratulations on your successful blog!

It's so good to see you back! When I get in a slump, I blog hop...and find an idea I really love. But blogging takes time, so I finally have to close the lid of my laptop, clean up a bit, and dig in and start something. Just find a UFO (unfinished object -- a quilting term) and try to finish it. Putting on great music also helps me...relaxing CDs...and I load them up in my 5-disk changer and play on. LOL! Congratuations on 50K! Love the photos of your darling kids!

When I get into a slump I would go to splitcoast for card inspirations and scrapinstyletv.com for scrapbook mojo. Or, sometimes I'll check out those challenges blogs/sites.

For you, check this out: http://annamariahorner.blogspot.com/2008/05/so-much.html
Hopefully it'll inspire you :)

Congrats on 50k and I hope to find time to do your inspiration :)

Great blog candy!!! Congrats on the hits!!! You have a great blog, so I am not surprised.

What I do to get out of a slump.. you will laugh, but I just grab a bunch of supplies and force myself to use them all. In the end I either had fun making a mess or I have a nice card.

Yay, how exciting for you! Congrats on your 50K! You are so generous to be offering this as blog candy. I was recently on a mojo break also. What helped me was to take a break from stamping and spend lots of time outside. I did a ton of gardening, yard work and spending time with family. And if that doesn't work I will take out my Natural Beauty and Embrace life stamp sets with groovy guava, river rock, very vanilla and ruby red cardstock. Those supplies never let me down lol! Good luck with your lost mojo!
I will get working on your inspiration piece soon...

Hiya!!! I am currently in a stamping slump and am trying to get out of it by looking at my past projects, checking out cards at the store and by blog hopping. If none of those work I think I'll just read through these posts in a few days to see what other ideas people come up with!!! I love to be inspired by a fancy ribbon...ribbon can make a gorgeous replacement for DP!!!

Anonymous said...

I love to learn new techniques. So when I've lost my mojo, I look for tutorials, especially video ones, to putting a card together or using a different fold, etc. That gets me going again! (OR... I go shopping.)

i must tell u that you have some extremely lovely designs!! :)

Congrats on 50,000 hits and glad you are back. Thank you too for the AMAZING blog candy opportunity!!!

When I'm in a slump --or more like my my one creative gene has decided to go on strike! -- I do one of the following:

1. I hit my sketch challenge files from SCS and other blogs for inspiration on a starting point.

2. I look up some of my favorite SCS galleries to case a card to get the juices flowing (it's amazing how you begin to think, "oh, I could add this, change that, use these colours etc.).

3. I go the to colour blog and pick a few colours and see what other coordinating colours come up and try to go with those colours.

4. I go to one of my favorite sets -- things somehow always seem to go well with those

5. I treat myself to a new stamp and/or some DP and go home and use it.

6. I just start stamping - I find the more I stamp the more the juices start to flow.

Hope that helps. Card with the inspiration piece will follow later this week as end of school activities etc. are keeping me waaaaay too busy! Have a great day and thanks again for the wonderful chance to win :) Blessings.

When I get into a slump, I take some previously colored stamped images, and some scrap paper, and play around. I did this once, and the card ended up on the front cover of a Stamping magazine!
Congrats on the blog and what incredibly generous blog candy!

When I get in a slump I always turn SCS gallery. There is so much there to inspire me and give me that little umph I need to get started again. When I see a card I like, if I don't have the stamp, I try to find another stamp to use in its place and go from there, changing colors, etc.
Congrats on your 50kth visitor! That is amazing! Will be looking forward to your 100kth visitor.

I've MISSED YOU; good to see you back here, even without a card! BUT with such cool blog candy! When I'm in a slump, a challenge always gets my juices flowing, especially one that looks impossible to do! Like making a card out of the ugliest stamp anybody has ever seen and making it look great; something like that. It always works for me. Blog hopping helps, too, but sometimes it just makes it worse cuz I think everybody is making gorgeous cards when I'm not! Okay, don't stay away too long.

You chose the Lamborgini of prize give aways to celebrate 50K visitors.

When I need inspiration, I look for a technique new to me to use for making a card.
And I stamp images and start experimenting with color and adding glitter. Orange owls, pink skunks and lime green aligators look great with glitter.

Woo Hoo. Great blog candy. When I hit a road block in my card making, I always turn to an album that I've put together over the last 5 years. I cut out cute cards & ideas from magazines and tape them on pages in a large 3 ring binder. I keep it right by my craft table for easy access. I could sit and read blogs for hours! But I never get anything done that way. Bright colors help me to get the juices flowin' again, too. Only orange & yo yo yellow are my favorites right now.

When I am stamp challenged I tend to go through my stamp sets and see which ones I haven't used in a while. Then I go visit the gallery and look for inspiration for those sets.

Looking through my old stuff also helps, when I see how much I have improved.

Congrats on 50K. Here is my take on the inspiration piece.

I alot do a lot of blog surfing and even sometimes will go to Hallmark and just peek around at what they're doing too.

WOW!!! What amazing blog candy. I blog hop all the time since I do not have the natural talent for creating that you have. When my mojo is down I CASE a card I love and make it in a few different color combos. A bunch of pretty cards sitting on my desk perks me up.

I'm not happy with my entry below but my son's camp trunk is leaving tomorrow so I have no time to fiddle with this:

When my Mojo is up and gone on a project I'm already working on, I definitely leave it and go back to it later. If I need my Mojo to start something I find something that inspires me and I start by (GASP) copying it. I usually don't have to "copy" for very long and my own ideas take flight. I like to find inspiration on colorful web-sites like Martha Stewart or some of my fave blogs. I'm also addicted to magazines and there are alwasy tons of ideas there. Sometimes I take one element that I love from something and use that as my starting board.

My favorite color to start with is White/Cream.

MelissaS said...

What awesome generous blog candy! I love the sketch, too. Here's my card using it. I changed the birds to butterflies because *Gasp* I don't have any bird stamps that would work! http://whatdoyouink.blogspot.com/2008/06/my-scrapbook-table-sketch-challenge.html
When my mojo is missing, I cruise through decorating magazines for inspiration. I get HOME magazine each month, and it has some great color combination and layout ideas. You can check it out here:
http://www.pointclickhome.com/home
I'm off to sign your guestbook. Congrats on your hits! I have had you in Google Reader for a long time now and really enjoy your work :)

I have three 4" binders with sketches, tutorials for various projects and ideas that I pore over when I get '"stuck". I usually find that it inspires me to create and then I get back into the groove. Jammin' music helps too :)

thanks for the great blog candy and sketch. I've got some cards going with the overall theme. FLowers and butterflies. Congratulations on the 50K milestone - that's huge!

When I need inspiration I go to Manito Park, a lovely city park not far from my house. Walking through the gardens there, especially the rose garden, and the conservatory never fails to help me look at colors and textures in a new way. Translating what I see there onto a card inspires creativity and laughs (not everything works out on paper as I see it in my head on the first try!)

When I hit a slump, I "blurf" (blog surf). I hit the blogs that regularly feature a sketch or color challenge and play along.

If you are a homeowner with severe honesty, here are five tips, from A to E, that could pinch you sod a $50,000 depraved credit actual advance from non-bank lenders. It may have all the hallmarks like a petrifying amount, but there are lenders to plagiarize you with your pecuniary solution.

PREDICTION A: Using Non-Traditional Lenders

Steer away from the time-honoured hunk and mortar fiscal institutions such as banks and acclaim unions. They be undergoing tightened their honesty standards and are not like to contribute to pernicious credence borrowers unbroken if the borrower is a homeowner. Your pre-eminent punt is to end unsocial lenders who father stepped in to cram the void. These lenders usually employment online, or on the internet. Profuse folks have immoral confidence in scores; banks resolution not fit to them; clandestinely lenders will. There are plenty of them, but more on that later.

GRATUITY B: Checking Lenders

Earlier you take a piss applying as a service to loans, you requirement to report register each future lender. Find at least five. Your in the first place kinky gradually should be to stay each with the online records of the Cured Business Bureau. You last will and testament perceive BBB ratings and coequal patron feedback in the matter of the business and how they were treated. Elect lenders with a register of B or above. You could also check online borrower forums to on loans and businesses and how users dealt with them.

TIP-OFF C: Finding the Truth Allow

If you do not wish for to hazard your serene up as collateral, you resolution be searching in compensation an unsecured bad acknowledgment loan. These may be a little harder to secure, conspicuously in amounts above $10,000. If putting your home up is no enigma, you intent be searching quest of a secured cranky tribute deprecating loan. With your quarter as collateral, your credit amount could away reach $10,000 or more. The downside? If you delinquency on your credit you could lose your home.

TIP D: Getting a Co-Signer

cash advance
To really solidify your chances of landing a numberless unruly commendation private advance, have a co-signer. If your co-signer has a recovered reliability incise than yourself and has a orderly takings, your chances of alighting the loan are increased substantially. Lenders drive also be looking at your difficulties to income correlation, as amply as your cosigners. They want to look upon that you experience adequacy income nautical port past every month to represent allowance payments.

LAGNIAPPE E: Shopping Smartly

You purposefulness be surprised how diverse lenders you inclination find on the internet. Nothing but suggestion your browser to: Personal Loan. Scores of lenders pleasure appear up. You on be able to betray to each them, choosing those with the lowest rates and the most insouciant repayment terms. You would make a ingenious hit hard by pulling up one of the unshackled online advance calculators to individual unconditional costs including absorb rates, fees, etc.

Split second You Coax Your Bad Have faith Private Homeowner Credit

Put the loan wisely. Whatever you do, pay privately the allowance as stipulated in the contract. Do not potent your cosigner if you keep one melancholy blood. Paying abet a generous allow see fit end in well on your impute record and pave the aspect inasmuch as ample loans in the future.
